We've audited thousands of ads over the years. The bad ones almost all fail for the same reasons. Use this checklist before your next launch.
- Hook in the first 5 words, never lead with the brand name.
- Specific numbers beat adjectives. '12-hour wear' beats 'long-lasting'.
- One value prop per ad. Test the others in separate variants.
- Use the customer's exact words. Pull from reviews and DMs.
- Lead with the offer, then the proof, then the CTA.
- Avoid spam triggers: ALL CAPS, !!, 'FREE!!!', 'guaranteed'.
- Mobile-first formatting, short lines, line breaks, scannable.
