Dubai Social Media Trends Brands Should Bet On in 2026

From short-form Arabic creators to vertical TVC, here's what's actually moving the needle for Dubai brands right now, and what to ignore.

Round Social · 12 June 2026

If you're running a brand in Dubai right now, the playbook from 2023 is officially dead. Audiences scroll faster, expect higher production value, and switch platforms mid-week. Below are the shifts we're betting on at Round Social through the back half of 2026.

1. Arabic-first creators outperform English-first by 2–3x

Across our F&B and retail clients, Arabic-first UGC is averaging 2.4× the watch time of English equivalents, even when the target audience is bilingual. Local language signals trust.

2. Reels are out-pacing TikTok for purchase intent in UAE

TikTok still wins for top-of-funnel reach, but Instagram Reels is converting cheaper for everything from skincare to event tickets. Cross-post, but optimise for Reels first.

3. Vertical TVC is replacing the 30-second ad

Smart brands are shooting one 9:16 hero spot and cutting 6–8 variants for paid. It's faster, cheaper, and the data wins every time.

What to ignore

  • Twitter/X for B2C in the GCC, engagement is in freefall.
  • Threads as a primary channel, fine for thought leadership, not for performance.
  • BeReal-style 'authentic' formats, audience moved on.
